Would you like to work at the NHS Race and Health Observatory (RHO), a team who explore the ethnic inequalities in healthcare? Do you have experience in delivering policy related work which has led to change? If so, we want you to be part of our team!

The NHS RHO is seeking a dynamic and skilled Senior Policy and Delivery Officer. This role will focus on supporting the policy team to Influence policymakers at all levels to make race equity in health a priority.

About the role

As a Senior Policy and Delivery Officer you will: 

  • Provide insight on key issues that helps the organisation to move forward with influencing work, including positioning on areas and topics
  • Work with colleagues across the organisation to develop policy positions, completing rapid analyses on policy developments.
  • Contribute to responses to consultations as well as other public statements which serve to further the Observatory’s goal of delivering ethnic health equity.
  • Work alongside our communications team to develop content that will aid the dissemination of our research and recommendations.

About you

You have a track record in delivering policy-related work that has led to meaningful change an in-depth knowledge of contemporary health policy. Along with experience in working on inequalities policy you will have an understanding of the UK political environment and:

  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to write accessible and compelling policy outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong personal relationships.
