The NHS Race and Health Observatory is driving change to tackle racial and ethnic inequalities in health and care. We’re looking for an Implementation Team Officer to provide vital support to our Implementation team.

You’ll support the team to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively every day—coordinating meetings and events, managing diaries, handling enquiries, and supporting finance and communications.

As Implementation Team Officer for the NHS Race and Health Observatory you will: 

  • Keep the Implementation team moving smoothly by coordinating diaries, meetings, travel, accommodation, and logistical arrangements.
  • Be the first point of contact for external enquiries to the Implementation team, providing professional responses and escalating issues when needed.
  • Maintain organised systems, updating electronic files, contact lists, and records to ensure accurate and accessible information.
  • Support delivery and impact by preparing meeting papers, presentations, reports, and assisting with data entry and CRM updates.
  • Play a key role in events and processes, helping plan and promote online and in‑person sessions, taking minutes, and supporting finance tasks like raising purchase orders.

What we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have proven experience providing high quality organisational and administrative support, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Communicate confidently in writing and verbally, including minute taking and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bring strong skills in office systems and tools, from CRM platforms to Microsoft Office, with bonus creativity using Canva or Adobe InDesign.
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues and senior leaders, working proactively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Thrive in fast paced environments, balancing competing priorities with adaptability, initiative, and a solutions focused approach.
